Prayer is the practice of the presence of God. It is the place where pride is abandoned, hope is lifted, and supplication is made. Prayer is the place of admitting our need, of adopting humility, and claiming dependence upon God. Prayer is the needful practice of the Christian. Prayer is the exercise of faith and hope. Prayer is the privilege of touching the heart of the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Please pray for a friend who will be having hip surgery on Friday. Please pray that all goes wiell and there is a quick recovery. Thanks.
Please pray for Kathy Mitrano. She has many health problems and needs a lot of prayers. Let’s lift her up in prayer and pray for courage, strength and faith.
Please continue your prayers for Alice Daiber. Wednesday she will be tested to see if she can eat regular food now.

Prayers are needed for 18 month old Callen Jakel, grandson of Mary Jakel, who is having very serious health issues. Also prayers for faith and trust in God’s healing power for Callen’s parents, Chad and CJ.

Phone Tree: please pray for Jamie Engler she is a teenager battling Lupus. Now they found three brain tumors. They treated with radiation, one has shrunk but the other two has not.
Please pray for Megan Whaley, daughter of George and Karen, who has been in Barnes Hospital since last Wednesday for testing. Started with food poisening and has escalated into a very serious condition. She has lost a tremendous amount of weight and cannot keep any food down. Very weak and apparently the doctors are puzzled. Everyone is exceptionally worried. Thanks.

Please pray for my cousin’s son, Zachary, who has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia & has been fighting this since last fall. He was in colllege when he was diagnosed. He is not able to leave the hospital due to having no immune system to fight disease. Please ask God to heal Zach and also give strength to his parents.

Please pray for a couple going through a very scary time right now. Husband is going though very serious testing for a disease with no known cure. They need all the prayer support they can get at this time to somehow get through all of this. God please give them strength and comfort.
Please pray for Margie,mother of my sister in law, Pam. Margie had a stroke and needs your prayers for her health to be restored. Please pray for all of the family as Margie is still unable to communicate and is very confused.
Please pray for my 30-yr. old niece, Elizabeth, and; her unborn twin boys. She found out she had Stage 2 breast cancer this week and; will begin a chemo treatment, safe for the twins on Wed, Jan. 11. The boys are to be delivered in mid-April by Caesarean. After delivery, Elizabeth will have more XRays and; more treatments. We so appreciate your prayers for her, her husband, and; their family. Please pray for my son Raymond. He is experiencing chronic pain and is non-verbal so he lays in bed and cries. He is having an outpatient surgery today to see if they can relieve the pain that we think is originating from his hip. Please continue to pray for a miracle recovery for his brain function, which was lost unexpectedly by a heart attack in 2010. We see small improvements, but are looking for that one great miracle to allow him to enjoy his life more.

Please put Rochelle Daiber on the Prayer Chain. She has been diagnosed with T cell (“angio immunoblastric – ailt”) cancer. She is having a spinal tap, pet scan and her first Chemo today. Let’s lift her and her family up in prayers. We pray for healing, strength and God’s grace.

Also, please pray for Lynn’s daughter Michelle Price, she has been having leg pains and will have a MRI, this weekend, to hopefully find out the cause.

Just wanted to let all of you know that your Prayers were greatly appreciated for little Caden. He was tested for cancer and all is clear….A special miracle indeed. He is jumping and running around like any other normal kid. God is good, and all of you are very special for praying for this darling little boy. Of course everything is in God’s hands but I believe your prayers did the trick. Again, thank you.

Special Prayers are in great need for a little 6 yr. old boy, Caden, who was transported unexpectedly to Children’s Hospital Saturday. He will be undergoing cancer testing this week. Also please keep his family in your prayers. A very stressful time for everyone. May God give them strength and courage as well as healing for this precious little boy.
Please say a prayer for Kathy Korte’s Grandaughter- Lilly Taylor who was born on Sunday (2nd) and is having complications. Please lift Lilly and her family up in prayers. Please add Danny Cruthis to the prayer chain, he was diagnosed with Merkel Cell Carcinoma in his lymph nodes and his liver. They are not doing surgery at this time, but going to work on a chemo treatment plan. Please keep Danny and his family in your prayers.

Please pray for Pat Kirby, a friend of Carol Frey, who will have surgery on October 19. Please keep her in your prayers.
Please pray for my mom, Judy Reeves, who is having surgery for glaucoma on Wednesday, October 5. She’s had two surgeries for this in the last year, but the pressures in her eye haven’t come down yet. She also has COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulminary Disease) and many allergies to numbing medications used, so any surgery for her is risky.
Please pray for Ellard Douglas, father of Bob Douglas, who had a fall and was taken to the hospital. Please pray for a speedy recovery.

My name is Shane O’Brien. I am the Bookkeeper for St. Paul Parish; I also coach football at Mater Dei High School. We recently got news that one of our football players, Kane Weinberg, has cancer. There are still doing tests for more details as to what type of cancer it is and to gather more details. For now what I know is that he has a fairly large tumor in his chest between the heart and lungs. Kane is it Barns Children’s hospital in St. Louis and he is in surgery right now. It sounds like they are going to take piece of the tumor to find out what they are dealing with. I wanted to put a prayer request in the St. Paul prayer chain. Please keep Kane and his family in your thoughts and prayers as he battles through these tough times. I know he has tons of support through his immediate family, football family, and friends. Thank you for your support. Together we will win this battle!
Please pray for Fr. Gustano Voucout, (Fr. Val),a Haitian priest who is a good friend. He has had glaucoma for several years, so please pray for healing so he can continue his ministry to his parishioners.
Millie Frey will have double breast removal at 10 am on Sept 26th. She will also have to have Radiation & Chemo after the surgery because of the extent of the cancer. She will need lots of support afterward. PRAY – PRAY – PRAY (a daughter in law will be staying with her the first week) and of course her family is very supportive as we (her sisters/family) will be there also for her as much as needed.
Please pray for John Taylor. We have prayed for him in the pasted. His brain cancer has grown and he will resume chemo next week.
